Diesel Engine extended warrany

I got something in the mail from Ford on Saturday concerning a new $0 deductible Ford Extended Service Plan for diesel trucks. There are two plans. One called Diesel EngineCARE Plus which covers 21 components tor 7 years or 200,000 miles and the other called Diesel EngineCARE which covers 13 components for 7 years or 200,000 miles. There is no listing as to what components are covered. I will need to contact my Ford Dealer for the information. I am scared to ask about the cost of either extended warranty. The Diesel EngineCARE Plus must be purchased within 36 months or 36,000 miles and the EngineCare must be purchased within 5 years or 100,000 miles. Does anyone else have information on this new coverage?

it only covers all internal engine ,tranny parts and the turbos. and it does run out at 200K not 200k from when you buy it. and price - $2100.00 I will just have to take my chances on this one.

10-4. Thanks. There is always a catch. I do have a 100,000 mile mechanical breakdown insurance through Geico for my truck.

Also consider if your going to mod it, don't think they'd be happy to warranty a modded truck.

I do not think I will do any modifications. I would like to but I do not want to have any warranty issues. Repairs cost too much! I also intend on keeping this truck for a VERY long time.

I can't wait for my warranty to run out so I can "chip" my truck and do mother upgrades and not feel like Ford is going to punish me for doing upgrades to MY truck.
