Can an engine block heater be added?
I am in the market for an 08 and a lot of them I have found do not have the engine block heater. I know they are supposed to start in under 2 seconds at temperatures well below 0 but the heater gives me reassurance. The option only cost $35 when you price the trucks. So my question is, if the truck does not have an engine block heater, can the dealer install one or not?
Thanks, Jordan |

It comes with it already installed in the block to the best of my knowlage the extra 35 gets you the cord to plug it in. if you do not get the option you have to just buy a cord down the road and plug it into the heater and your good to go. someone correct me if im wrong. I got the option with my truck but have yet to use it.

Yes all the 08 PSD engines come with the heater installed in the block. The $35.00 is for the cord but I am told it is not easy to put in. The Dealer can do it for you but I don't know what they charge.
