new motor

well got my truck back from the dealer today. my 3rd motor. this time new turbos, fuel system, and new long block. last motor lasted 20k miles. i run the piss out of it so just a heads up guys if you run h&s hd tune and stay in it it will cost ya. or in my sake warranty will hassle with you but pay. i turned back to stock before going to dealer. my case was melted piston. im assuming a lift pump will eliminate this problem? i gotta take it easy now though, think warranty will tell me to shove it if i have to come back for another one. and i had to get my tranny rebuilt a couple hundred miles ago. burnt the clutches up.

So ford keeps paying for you to blow motors with aftermarket tuning? must be nice.

Sounds like it but it also sounds like they haven't looked deep enough to see if he has been tuned. My truck is at Ford and I should know tomorrow if Ford is paying for the motor or if I have to. Still under warranty right now. If I have to foot the bill, I'm having the dealer throw the parts in the bed of the truck and towing it to Truck Source Diesel. I already talked to Chris B over there about the potential of this happening so we'll see. I was at the dealer this afternoon about an hour before they were going to pull the heads.

Seems like a few people have been having issues with the HD300, and I'm running a MiniMaxx with the HD300 tunes, although I'm pretty easy on the truck and have started leaving it on the 175 tune recently. Are guys running the Spartan 300+ tunes having the same issues?

ATVJOE u should not be worried. When Jeremy says he runs it hard he means an hour straight on hot with his foot to the floor. Alcohol is a beautiful thing....or a costly one for that matter. Haha!

HELL YEA! My truck hates the weekends. I just wanna go fast... Ima start running mine on the hd tune under no power, hopefully will end these motors. Ford can dig as deep as they want, they sold me a truck with a sct and full exhaust... Got them by the balls now... The last motor they put in it they put all stock stuff back on.
