Amsoil Synthetic Oil change 5W40

Hi

I recently switched to amsoil synthetic CJ-4 5w40 at 6k miles. I have found that the truck seems to runs smoother when cold (I live in Canada, it currently snows) and that my Regen frequency are further apart.

Gas mileage is the same, but I suspect that it is better but since I now have to let it idle longer I cannot prove it.

Overall, I am satisfied and will continue to use the oil.

Eric

Man I should take brant on as a partner, Thanks bud.

The 5-40 will work wonder on your 6.4. Take full advantage a run a bypass on it. The EAO88 filter to about 15 microns. The stock ford filter is a 40 micron filter. A BMK11 or 16EA filters down to 1 micron.

I'm glad your happy with the results

Just the fact that your truck isnt going into Regen as much should make quite a difference on fuel milage.
P.S. I went to Performance Oil Products web site and the prices were very reasonable for Fully Synthetic oil. When Im ready Ill have to get some from them.

Thanks for the kind words.

FYI right now until Dec 1st I am giving everyone Amsoil at Wholesale pricing. So the pricing seen on my website is much higher then you will pay. The price I get shipped is the price everyone pays.

Thanks again
Shawn

I did not know you could use the amsoil synthetic oil in the 6.4 diesel engine. I love amsoil products and I have used their synthetic oil in my Harley for years with great results. Are there any warranty issues with using the amsoil synthetic oil in your 6.4?

Ezzrider, The 5-40 is blended and rated for all DPF equipt vehicles. It's a great product and I have many happy customers using it in their 08 PSD.
