Went ahead and plastidipped my side vents black to match my plasti-dipped bumper. Progress pics below.

Looks good, how do the vents come off? Do they just pop out out?

Get yourself some trim pullers from Harbor Fright for $5 (the plastic ones). They just pull off and are three pieces each.

I just blacked the grates on mine. I couldn't stand that red/purple/maroon colored vent. It doesn't even make sense to have that color on the truck.

nice, looks a ton better. I'm thinking about smoking mine dark enough not to get the annoying chrome look. I don't have any black on my outside so I think it would look a little weird plasti dipping mine

How does that plastic paint hold up after a cold winter hot summer and washing the truck? Can you get those vents out without the puller??

Without a puller? Probably but I wouldnt. They are just made out of fairly cheap feeling plastic and bend a LOT even with a plastic puller. Id be pretty sure you would break them unless you know exactly where the tabs are. In fact, check out the first pic I have in the thread so you can see the tabs and hopefully not break em.

As for the weather, I've actually had them on for a couple months now - had a few snowy vacations, gravel roads, etc and they have held up very well.

Looks good! I did the same thing to mine when I bought it, 6 months later, many car washes, many frozen Alberta days and the plastidip is still holding up. So well I think I am going to paint my grills white and leave the surrounds black, just thinking about the wording right now...

Love your trucks setup right now St34lth keep it up
