Your thoughts?

Hey guys, went and looked at an 08 6.4 today.
137k miles
6spd manual
4x4
crew cab dually lariat.
All stock
They want $22800 for it. The interior is flawless, the exterior is pretty darn close to flawless.
The only things that came up in the OASIS report was a venturu tee installation, a pcm reprogram and it had a stuck open egr valve. that was all around 60,000 miles.

The truck drove great, the only thing i did notice is that if I revved it up in the parking lot, it would shoot a quick puff of light black smoke. Should I be worried about that?

If I do get it, the egr and exhaust will be disposed of quickly plus a mini maxx or spartan.

Any thoughts on this? things i should be worried about?

Thanks!!

Go ahead and get the mini maxx. The ones that are out there now are the only ones left. People are now buying them up and holding on to them to resell at a later date to try and turn a profit.

Sounds like a pretty good price. I'd say go for it

Depending on your market, I think you could talk them down. That's just from my experience in my market. I looked at a loaded 450 crew KR with just over 100K miles and they were having trouble giving it away at $27000 (and this was over a year ago).

Remember, the auto trans is a pretty pricey option on these things, but it all boils down to preference.

well it was originally at 25800 listed. And they know that I want the stick. But at the same time thats just the first price he dropped to, the "internet price" so I will prolly see if i can get him down some more.
