Synthetic Rotella

I am running the Rotella synthetic oil. Waste of $ or not?

I run Rotella T6 every time. I like it. I don't know if I could tell a difference drive wise, but at 7500 miles (deleted) on an oil change my TBN was .6 so in theory I should be able to run out to 12500.

I just switched from Rotella 15-40 to their t5 10w30 and it made a HUGE change in cold weather start up. Next year (before next winter ) I might go all out and try the t6! But for now very happy

t6 worth every penny!

So it averages out via less freq oil changes? That was my justification plus it makes me sleep better for some reason.

I have been a big mobile 1 guy on my cars, and i see that they have the truck turbo diesel synthetic, but everyone i know uses the T6, so thats why i bought for my '06 6.0 too. I think your truck will thank you.

T6 is what I run, I also do Blackstone oil analysis and currently I'm up to 10K intervals. IMHO its worth it.

I ran Mobil before I switched.

I run Champion all fleet. Their tbn is better than anything rotella makes.

****WARNING POSSIBLE DUMB QUESTION ALERT****** does the 6.4 have a egr set up like the 6.0? And are you still running the egr or no? I guess what Im wondering is it possible to get 10k intervals while still running the egr.
