EGR Blocker plates safe?
Ok, I can't fully delete the EGR Coolers due to emission testing and inspections. So with that said, then next best thing is blocker plates...
Are they safe? I've read that they increase EBP. Is this true? I don't see a difference from a full delete (minus the coolers are gone so no coolant worries). A full delete still blocks the exhaust just the same right. Thanks |

Yes, block off plates are fine. There are a lot of people who do this. It isn't the best solution as coolant still flows thru the coolers, but it is better than nothing. And if you have emissions testing it is your best option.

I agree with country aggie. If you can not delete the coolers its the best option. At least it stops the hot exhaust gasses from going back through the motor.
