Throwing Turbo Codes- is this bad??
So my service engine light came on two days ago..I'm nervous as to what these codes actually mean. I cleared the codes with my edge cts insight tonight, I'll drive it some more tomorrow and see if the light or codes come back. But I wanted to check in with you guys and see what exactly these codes mean and how serious they are. No power loss issues, normal boost numbers- no loss in performance or over boosting..I researched the forum for these codes and it seems to be a coorelation with the cold weather. These codes popped up when we get the 20-40 degree weather the past few days. I cleared the codes so we'll see if they pop up again. I also saw in another thread that the ebp sensor could need cleaning. Now when I look at the ebp pipe and sensors, there appears to be two sensors, one on top and on on bottom. Which on is the problematic one that needs cleaned?
Codes are: P2563- turbo charger boost control position sensor circuit range/ performance P006B- MAP- exhaust pressure correlation P2263- turbo/ supercharger boost system performance P1000- ob2 system readiness test not complete ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope this isn't anything serious and it's just a cold weather thing...but I figured with codes coming up about the turbo's I better run it by the org and make sure it's nothing to worry about! Thanks for the help in advance, this forum has taught me so much and I try to give back anytime I can.. |

turbo probs
got me wondering if some of these snags aren't created by people who turn motor off early before turbo has had time to cool off....easy habit to get into

mts678 have you tried cleaning your ebp sensor & tube?

No not yet, I've been thinking about that though. I've driven about 50 miles today hard and easy and no codes. Is that a symptom of a dirty ebp sensor & tube?

I had same codes minus the MAP one. Take the sensor out up by valve cover and clean it out with brake kleen or similar. I havent had codes come back since I cleaned mine.

Hey I have been having some of the same issues. I had the ebp tube replaced just before christmas after it broke and i have been getting these codes periodically since then. I also changed out the ebp sensor and cleaned the map sensor and these codes are still coming up. Getting kind of frustrated, just wondering if any other suggestions??
