Help with truck setup!
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I have a few questions for yall. To start off with I own a 2010 F-250 4x4 with 44,000 miles. Right now everything is stock other than I've put a 2" levelin kit and a k&n cold air intake on my truck. I have done alot of reading and research on different topics but to sum everything up I wanted to let you all know exactly what I'm looking for. I've been debating hard whether to start messing under the hood or not simply because of my warranty. However, I've read that if I wait till the 100,000 mile mark the damage could've already been done. So I'm looking to find out what's the best setup for me.
I'm looking to make my truck close to bulletproof as possible. I want it to be safe and last a long time. Also proformance is important because I pull a horse trailer which has a living quarters and I want something that's going to get on down the road without putting so much strain on the truck. I don't care if I'm the fastest on the road but I'd like to be able to hold my own if a chevy pulls up beside me and thinks he owns something. Anyway this is the setup I was thinking on going with..let me know what yall think and if you would change or add anything. Thanks I already have a k&n intake so add... Looks like your on the right track buddy. Only thing I'd change is the k&n air filter/ they're not good for our trucks they actually let a lot of dust/dirt/debris in versus s&b and afe filters.
Also you'd probably want to install the flopro cac (cold side tube from intercooler to intake elbow). Look at the stock one and how small it is crimped to pass through the core support. You just have to grind down the lip on the core support so the new unrestricted tube can fit. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App |

Thanks for the advice. Which intake is better the s&b or afe? Also I don't know much about the flo-pro cac could you explain a little more in detail what it's purpose is?
Btw I failed to mention this is my daily truck, so it gets used for everything. I don't know if that matters or not.. |

i agree you are on the right track. i did the cat dpf delete and sinister egr block off, s&b intake with h&s mini max. i run the mini max on the no power setting and my 6.4 king ranch has more than enough power for me. enjoy the new truck!!!
