Hey I am about to purchase a 2008 F250 that I have been "test driving" for a few days and one thing is the key is beat up and I want to add remote start.
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a new style key with the integrated remote fob and program it for a 2008? I would think it is similar and just integrated. -Dan |

dealer told me it wasnt possible. so I paid 400 to have the ford remote start installed on it but its and extra tiny key fob that you just hold down for a little. I use it all the time lol only thing is they must have the delay for the glow plugs set really long. it takes a while for it to start but its no big deal.

It really suprises me that ford would have actually updated their key system to the point they arent able to be interchaged...

From what I understand from others that have tried it. The alarm buttons work but the remote start does not.
There's a couple threads about it on this forum. |
