Help me decide on cab lights

I can't decide on what color bulbs I want on my truck. It's a white king ranch and I want to put white cab lights on it but I'm concerned that it would look stupid having amber mirror lights. Im using smoked lenses for the cab lights and turn signals.
Post pics at night please.

Depending on your state and local laws, it is illegal to run anything but amber for cab lights. I run the smoked lenses with amber bulbs in my truck and it looks just fine. You can barely tell during the day that there are amber bulbs in the smoked housings, and at night you cant tell the housings are even smoked, they just light up amber. Here is a pic of my truck with the cab lights on. Its not real dark out but you get the idea.

Thanks. I spend way to much time on back roads in deer country to not have as much light as possible.

Why do you mention avoiding recon?

If you are going to add cab lights I would get the stock ford housings, and then add the smoked lenses to the stock housings, rather than an aftermarket full sealed unit. If one of the LED's in the sealed units goes bad (a bad habbit of recon products) you will have to replace the entire light. That being said, I have had the sealed smoked mirror lenses from recon now for about 2 years and have yet to have an issue with a LED burning out.

As i am continually touching up the black paint they applied over shiny chrome
on my bases
and this weekend I pulled all the lenses to wipe moisture out of them

oh and then when I did my install I was so pissed at the quality I found I wasn't alone

If i did it it again I would go with the recommendation above about OEM
or there are a few others like atomic ,, but I can't endorse them since I have not used them

I like the look of the amber lights. They look better than i thought. I was planning on going recons though. Where can I get the oe set? and how much would it be? I can get the smoked recon set for 100$.
