newbie looking to purchase a f350
hey guys,
im new to this forum and new to owning a diesel truck. the wife says she want to get travel trailer and i said i would need to get a bigger truck so here i am. i have been wanting a f250 for a very long time. i saw this 2010 f350 lariat srw swb. with 40,000 miles. it has nav, sunroof, rear back-up camera, aux switches, heated seats, 6 inch lift on bmf wheels and 37 inch tires. i talked the dealer down to $38,895 ($26,824 after my trade-in). i have been looking for about 5 months and this is the best deal i have found. also im trading in my srt8 and they gave me the max on my trade so it is looking better. the only thing is i didnt plan on spending this much on a truck but it is sexy truck and my wife like it also just curious as to opinions?? Sounds like a good deal to me but I'm a newbie as well. Out of curiosity what kind of SRT do you have? I have a 2010 b5 blue challenger SRT8

Nice. I started out with an 06 charger SRT. Sold it last year with only 37k on the clock. I absolutely love SRT's. I plan on buying a used 7.3 and keeping my challenger a long time. Good luck on your search.

Many will disagree, but I dont feel comfortable towing a trailer with a 6" lift. Just seems to unstable to me depending on how big a travel trailer you are looking at. At minimum you will need airbags in the rear to keep the rear end from sagging. They will also help stability.
Thats a good looking truck none the less. Price may be a little high depending on where you are located. You can get a brand new truck for not "to much more" but it wont have lift already.
