Buying used h&s question

If I buy a used h&s from someone do I have to register it or do I just plug it in and download the tune. I currently have sct with kem tuning but was thinking of getting h&s while I still can

you have to make sure the tuner has been returned to stock otherwise its vin locked. theres a 300 dollar fee to unlock it if it doesnt come up as stolen.

That part I knew sorry should have mentioned that. So as long as its returned to stock there's no fees or anything I can just use it right
