5" MBRP muffler?

Has anyone ever used the MBRP 5" Garage parts series universal muffler? I've found a 5" muffler for $79 online however I want to make sure it's a decent muffler. Part number is MBRP GP220022.

Thanks

I have never ran the MBRP muffler like your talking about, but I have ran a 5" donaldson resonator and it has always worked great on past pickups to quiet the truck down a bit but not kill the tone (I miss my 5" exhaust on my 7.3's!!!!!). I dont run a muffler on this truck.

Not sure if MBRP offers different mufflers but I have spent several interstate hours in a 6.0 with a 5 inch MBRP system and it was a very nice ride. I have a 5 inch AeroTurbine on mine and I like the sound of my buddies MBRP better.

Why put on a muffler? My experience is with it off it barely makes a sound difference, save your money for something else.

Same here . I took my muffler off and barely noticed a difference, but I was able to hear the turbo whistle better

It may be the age difference but I can't stand to drive mine without a muffler. I hate the raspy, rattly, glasspack sound. I want to run an exhaust cut out that gives me the jet engine sound at idle/parking lot speeds but is silent on the road. Just one old guy's opinion.

U have a 6.0. The 6.4 is a big difference in sound. My straight piped 6.0 could rattle the house where my 6.4 could pull out of the drive without hearing it.

These 6.4's are night and day different than the 6.0 and 7.3. My 5" no muffler exhaust on my 2000 7.3 would shake the pictures on the wall inside the house when it was warming up in the am. This truck I have to look out the window to see if my lights are on to know that my remote start actually started the truck.
