kicker tire breaking off outside hub bolts

I was showing a guy(6.0 owner) what the 6.4 sounds like straight piped so i went up the hill gettin on it a little bit and when I came down two of the outside hub bolts came off. One broke one fell and one was about to fall off. What could cause this?

The bolts that hold the (front or rear) hub in place or the lug studs that hold the wheel in place?

If they fell off, that's one thing. If they sheared, they were probably over-tightened.
