what are yalls thoughts???
Okay ive been looking for a 6.4 for a while now, Anyway...i want to get one with some options such as nav, sunroof, and or back-up camera. now for the right price would yall rather just have a Lariat with nav and no sunroof or Lariat with sunroof and stock radio??? same idea with back-up camera you can only have one out of the 3. okay now for the next comparison..A king ranch with no nav/sunroof/or camera for the same price as a lariat with one of those options which kind would yall go for? and i guess samething for the king ranch with only having one of three options which one would you prefer??? sorry if its kinda confusing..may not even be a real question just personal prefrence. let me hear yalls thoughts an opinions on this! thanks!

Personal experiences:
King Ranch interiors are awesome! If you don't have kids to stain the leather, and don't mind the extra care they require. I love mine, but I constantly nag the kids and wife to be careful with food and drinks. Sunroofs are like pools for most of us. They are nice at first, get used once or twice, and then become a problem. I opened mine probably half a dozen times when I first bought my last truck (A F150). After that, I hardly opened it. I left it cracked a few times, and ended up leaving it open during a storm. It also leaked after a few years. |

I would take the back-up camera every time, it's worth it's weight in gold for maneuvering in tight spaces and for making sure no one is behind you when backing out of a parking lot. I've never been impressed with auto manufacturers nav systems. I've been very happy with my Garmin and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than factory installed nav system. I've never cared for sun/moon roofs so to me they are just one more thing to cause a problem (my wife's has leaked before causing a lovely mildew aroma).

x2 on the camera. Friends that have them love them. I wish my truck had one. I also agree with the factory nav stuff. most smartphones and certainly hand held GPS units are better and cheaper. |

2 reasons I don't like sunroofs:
1. They tend to leak after some time. 2. (And most importantly) I'm 6'3" and I feel a little on the claustrophobic side in trucks with sunroofs. Sent from a phone smarter than me |

I am flying down to Utah on Friday to pick up a Lariat w/ sunroof and backup camera, but no Nav.
My thought is, the factory head unit I will be replacing with a nice Kenwood or something else with a nice screen, nav and a good built in eq. I will also be tying in the factory backup camera into this screen since it will be much bigger than the tiny one in the rear view mirror. My car had a sunroof and I used it all the time, it doesn't get hot enough up here to use the AC all the time so instead I run around with the sunroof open, it draws in nice cool air without blowing it in your face. I had that car for over 6 years and never had a problem with the sunroof leaking. |
