Just ordered one but wont be here til thursday so out of commission til then.
The pan has to be dropped to change i hear? Gonna suck doing it in driveway when its -20* !!

get a heater going LOL the gasket is reusable ,, I would drop new LV fluid in and a filter if your due or even close( if it's a later in pan filter ?) ,, don't tighten any bolts all the way until you get them all in .. specially the rear

Well I could always limp it to my work, but its also supposed to warm up a few degrees later this week so I should be ok, lol.

Ok, so LV is the trans fluid I should be re-filling with? And its compatible with whatever is currently in there?

you should have Mercon LV now ,, the older ones used SP but they discontinued it and LV/SP are compatible

you probably are stuck getting it at Ford as far as the Filter rumor Has it Fram is the OEM and it was true for the older unit I replaced the screen filter on ,, it was the exact same part ,,

I grabbed a filter today at Napa, came with new gasket. I also asked for a couple Qts of mercon LV.....was in a hurry but just checked it out, doesnt look like its the right stuff.
Its Castrol but says Mercon and Mercon V (not to be used where SP is called for)

Not sure why they sold me that crap, either way ill return it tomorrow.
