xi is AWD, X series is the SUV line.
I think I read some one said their 6.4L is funner to drive then their m3? I think you should take that M3 into the twisties and it would change your mind. I am going from a 300awhp (about 370 at the crank, about equal torque) tuned WRX to a 6.4L, I have driven a deleted and tuned 6.4L quite a bit and while it might be fairly decent in a straight line, it just can't match the handling of a sporty car. And it certainly can't match the fun factor of a sporty AWD car with good weight distribution in the snow. They are made for two different things but if you've ever driven a sports car hard like it is meant to be through the mountains over twisting and winding roads, the fun factor is 100 fold over a huge truck. I have also driven a 700rwhp GT500, now that is in an entirely different league. Last edited by Alaskan_awd; 11-12-2012 at 11:46 AM. |

If you read my post, the f350 is more fun because of the surprise factor. Every 16 year old kid with a honda civic wants to race the corvettes or BMW. None of them realize a one ton truck can move like these diesel can. I'm definitely not saying the 350 is better handling or anything of the sort than my M, I just like the sleeper factor.... Not to mention in northern/southern/eastern alberta there's not a lot of hills or twists haha flat bald headed prairie.
And just to ask, so what if I did think my 6.4 was better than my M? I didn't come on this forum to tell people what to think or be told what my opinion should be. I'm here for information and to share my thoughts, opinions and experiences with other powerstroke owners. Last edited by Xcler8; 11-12-2012 at 11:49 AM. |

We are in the same boat but I have a SRT-8 Charger that the Ol' lady daily drives. The Charger is fast and fun to drive and all but I have much more fun driving my truck.

The 6.4L after delete and tune will put your in your seat just fine and give a thrashing to most other cars on the road in a straight line, but it is a work horse, and that is where it shines, not being a drivers car. |

From ford raptors to BMW's......

The Rapter is highly overpriced for what it can't do. It looks cool and the only reason I would buy one is if I paid it in cash and didn't have to think about spending that much. I would be halfway to an ultra 4 car that would make that truck just look stupid.
I like fox shocks and have them on my Jeep, but those on there are just normal Fox with a remote reserve and decent valving for the weight. They aren't even coilovers on there. They won't last in the whoops or jumping before the oil is cooking. I have some King 2.5's coilovers on my trailer queen jeep that I wheel. |

lol...IMO
The raptor is a "cool" truck that is "built" for offroading. I'm in the build stage of a I-Beam Ford ranger and 12" of travel isn't enough to hit whoops and dunes. The 6.4 Ford has 300hp on tap with a couple parts and can tow a trailer with the raptor in the back. |
