The guy is going thru a divorce and has to sell, tires are pretty bald they got 50,000 miles on them. Truck is in great shape from the pics, all stock other then the lift. They are asking $28,000

I am not sure what the going rate would be but 28,000 seems a little high for an 08.

Actually, I just checked out the auto trader up where I am and they are going anywhere from 32,000 all the way up to 40,000 or so for some of the 08's. That's alot higher than I would have thought. Some of them were harley editions but some of them weren't so Now I am not sure. I would just check out some of the dealerships and auto trader type websites to see what the going rates are.

I bought my 08 scsb fx4 back in August with 47k for 25k, not a bad deal but I think it could be a little better IMO

i bought my 08 cclb, leather, 40k miles last october for $29k. I would say youcan find a better deal. they go at dealerships for about $30-35k with 50-100k miles. i personaly would shop around, best of luck

Longbeds are usually cheaper.
If he doesn't have factory 20's, navigation, tow command, tailgate step, etc., those are all big deductions (those are the expensive options).
New tires will run you over $1000. Keep that in mind.
No service records? Any leaks? Problems?

I'm not trying to be rude about it, but someone else's misfortune doesn't mean you can't be a little hard on negotiating. I'd probably offer 23,000 tops and walk away under any other circumstances (unless this is 100% the truck I want, then I'd offer up to 25,000).

im tossing around an 08 thats got 13k miles, asking 36k. what does nada/kbb say?

This truck was rough, needs 2 grand plus in tires it has 37-13.50-20's on it. 6 inch lift.
it had alot of the goodies but wasnt taken care of. The motor was dry no oil leaks or coolant leaks but the paint had a lot of scratches, coffe stains in the carpet ect.....
they owe 25,800 on it and i told them to let the bank take it cause you wont get 20,000 out of it. I walked away thinking i dont need a high dollar project like this....... thanks for all the comments i am still looking for an 08,09,or 10 Lariet long bed......
