I posted yesterday that my replacement egr valve only has one port, and that existing valve had two. Question, can I drill the addtional port out??

Can you post a pic of the difference between the two that you are talking about?

Thanks for the fast reply, unfortunately i dont have camera phone(job restriction), but if you are looking down on egr valve the new valve has port on the right side which goes to vertical cooler, the existing has same, but also has port on left side, which goes to water tank. There is a flat spot on new one located exactly where existing one is. Excuse me, but I am a diesel rookie, but this truck is awesome!!!!

I removed my valve and gently placed it in the garbage when I installed my intake elbow
so I am not exactly sure but I'll see if I can find a pic.

The coolant port is deleted for the later valves. you want to run the hose from the vertical cooler back to the degas bottle. It requires trimming a section of hose out
