Thats what it always says around here when there is any bio in the fuel.

I don't know a lot about diesel. Other than on and off road fuel. Is there a non bio on road fuel?

Or low bio

That is the type that you are not supposed to put in your 6.4. I would stay away from it.
Ford says only to run UP TO 5%. |

Every pump in town has that sticker on it. Bp shell and a local station. Wtf. Everyone else agree that I should steer away from this fuel

I run Bio when ever I can! I have run b80 a few times and my truck loved it. Sadly I moved and sadly now I cant find any. I would run it if I could. IIRC the reason why ford dosnt want you to use bio greater than 5% had to do with the chances of getting water in your system, but if you use additive (I use Diesel Clean) and religiously drain your fuel filter you should be fine.

That's great for you 44magnum, but a lot of others will agree that biodiesel in the 6.4 is asking for trouble. It has been known to clog up the DPF and cause the problems you mentioned with water separation.
Here's food for thought: "I blew up my 2008 F350 on biodiesel" There are many other threads out there about problems with biodiesel in the 6.4. Personally, I think this engine is way too expensive to risk it. You never know when you'll get that bad batch. The problem is with bad diesel if Ford doesn't fix your problem under warranty you can possibly go after the fuel seller. If you have a biodiesel issue, Ford will deny your claim AND the fuel seller can as well if their biodiesel is within spec (which could be out of spec for your 6.4). |

Doss is right. The user manual explicitly says not to use more than B5.

Do what you want. It was my opinion. I'm sorry as to offend you. I'm sure there are also many threads out there about the perils of running bio, no-one ever starts a thread about "My truck runs great (and problem free) on Bio". That is correct, the manual says B5 is the max. |
