This is the same video that has been on the dieselfiltersonline.com site for a long time now.

Thank God I have the 6.4

While I share some of that sentiment, I'm a little confused by why you would say that here.

no kidding the 6.4 has the same requirements as the 6.0
must be to get a post count over 12 LOL |

I say it because about 3/4 of the vid spoke directly about the 6.0. I know the 6.4 has it's downfalls but lets face the fact......After all I read about 6.0 blowing head gaskets and having sand in the engine block from casting causing the EGR's to come apart, I opted for the 6.4. Ford dropped the ball in 03. Understand i'm pretty new to the diesel world but I did do a lot of reading before i made my desition. That and all the 7.3 are sold fast if the truck is looking good.

While the 6.4 might be a bit "better" then the 6oh... Do some more reading bud. They are not as "strong" as people make them out to be... 10k repairs for engines that are killed by "bad fuel" is very disturbiing. HG are more and more common to blow now, way harder to work on with the cab on then the 6.0, and now with the MTW turboes coming out for the 6.0 trucks... Hold on cuz the 6.0 trucks are making a run for it... and their coming STRONG!
I am the same as a tuned 6.4 truck (ran one this last weekend) and I didn't even get my Stage 2 turbo yet ![]() Good day

I'm not sitting here talking **** about 6.0's "bud". Why must people get butt hurt so easy? In the years of building drag cars.."Hondas and Supras" I know for a fact if you throw enough cash into a motor ANYTHING can be made quick/fast and EVERYTHING will have it's problems. I'm not bragging about my 6.4....I simply said that 3/4 of that video was directed to the 6.0 and i was glad I had a 6.4. W/ about $2,700 worth of parts "not including labor if you don't do it yourself" the 6.0 is damn near bullet proof. To much of anything will kill a motor and TUNE is the most important thing. A bad tune will take a fast car or truck and make it spare parts. My buddy has a 04 6.0 and after doing ARP studs and head gasket...he ran an inline coolant filter and after just 2K took it off and had almost 2 hand fulls of sand. THATS why I said Ford dropped the ball. The company they used for casting their blocks from 03 to 06 "I believe" wasn't worth a damn. Good for you you have a fast truck, I bet your balls are bigger than the rest of ours also.
