Looking at buying my first Powerstroke, have some questions

Hey guys im new to the forum and to the Power Stroke. I'm looking at a 2008truck CCSB 6.4. The truck has an H&S mini and dpf/cat deleat. Im wondering if there are anything i need to look out for with the truck since it has 120K miles on it. Thanks for your help guys.

I might be a little wary of buying a tuned truck. Tuning makes then more reliable, but it is real easy to push these trucks too far and ruin your transmission if they were doing too many 4WD launches.

Take it for a ride, get on it getting in he freeway and see if anything sounds weird. While cruising check the TCSlip on the mini gauges. Try to get an oasis report from a dealer.

I'm sure there will be more comments.

Thanks for a heads up. What is an Oasis report? I'm a GM guy venturing into uncharted territory lol. Also the tuner and EGR/DPF deleat have only been on the truck for 8 months since that is how long the current owner has had the truck.

How did the guy say it has been for him? Any problems minor or major?

He said the truck works greats, no issues at all. Clean underneath no leaks and the pictures he sent to me it looks like a very nice and clean truck.The EGR coolers and valve have been delated off of the truck. He bought the truck to tow a 5th wheel camper but sold the camper and has no need for the truck. He said after he bought the truck it threw an SES light for the fuel pressure regulator and he had the high pressure pump replaced, it was done at the dealer, and turbo seals replaced since the cab was off of the truck.

Oasis report is a report of any work done on the truck at a ford dealership. Then you know what all has been fixed or repaired, which is good to know

I got an Oasis report from the dealer for free. Looks like the truck was built in June of 07. It has had the radiator replaced twice and other TSB's that have been out for the truck. Anything else i should look out for guys?
