Transfer Tank Water Seperator

I have a 45gal transfer tank that I use very rarely (2-3) times a year for long trips. What do u guys use to assist with the water build up in the tank with just a gravity feed (low pressure) line. I recently took a trip and had to take care of water seperator 3-4 times with a 1200 mile trip, is that reasonable? I would like any suggestions that you have to assist with me filtering out the water that will builds up. I do make sure that I go to large truck stops that cycle trough their fuel regularly to assist with the less build up.

I have never had an issue with water build up in my L tank, but I use it pretty much all of the time. You could get an inline water sep and plumb it into the hose. Is your gravity feeding into the fill neck on the truck? I have mine fed into the fill neck with an inline fuel filter (not a water sep) and no issues.

Depends how long it sits. When my L tank gets used a lot my water seperator filter will last a long time if my tank sits empty with a few gallons in the bottom for a couple month I'll go thru a filter on just that tank. Glad to know the filters work tho
