Proper way to use and set up integrated trailer brake controller
I have never used or set up, adjusted a trailer brake controller. I will be hauling a trailer this weekend, so I'd like to learn the proper way to use Ford's Integrated Tow Command trailer brake controller. Any tips or cautions to look out for would greatly be appreciated. Thanks guys!

How heavy is the trailer? A good starting place is on level 5. Once the trailer is hooked up pull the trailer around the parking lot or on a side road. You can slowly pull the gain lever until you lock the brakes up and the trailer tugs on the truck. What ever the number says when the brakes lock up is your upper number. Set the brake controler 1 or 2 numbers below that. On average a trailer weighing around 4-5k lbs will need level 4-5, at 7-8k Lbs bump it up to 5-6 maybe 7, and if you are in the 10K range 8, Anything above 10-15K I ussually set it at 9 and rarely 10. If your tires lock up while you are stopping you have the level set to high, keep bumping it down until they stop locking up.
