New to site and Ford

I am new to the site and to Powerstrokes. I have always loved and had 5.9s But the rest of the truck is junk. I finally upgraded to a Ford. 2010 6.4. I have read sevaral posts and know that everyone has different opinions.

I am looking for better mileage. So mostly want to know what brands work the best for the 6.4 as far as intake, tuner, exhaust or anything else I need. Oh and don't want it loud like the last truck I had.

I did intake, programmer, intercooler and 5" straight pipe on the old 5.9. So I know what I am doing, just not sure what works best on a ford. Any info is much appreciated.

the good news about the 6.4 is even straight piped and WOT its not very loud as far as im concerned... most people go H&S or spartan.... Flo Pro is good cheap exhaust works great on the 6.4 and just about everyone loves the S&B intake. congrats on the new truck i hope you like it! welcome to the website.

Thanks tractor, that is kinda what I am seeing here. Since I never had to deal with emissions stuff before, I am kind of lost on the delete stuff. Is it needed or will new exhaust fix that?

5.9 Gas?

Look at the site sponsors here and that will get you going. Best MPG will be not much stop and go and a very light right foot. Stay out of the boost as much as possible.

Tuner: H&S Mini Maxx or Spartan
Intake: S&B or AFE
Exhaust: Take your pick

Delete (if you can): DPF and EGR

Thanks Doss. Umm the 5.9 was not gas. But was not sure if I should use the bad word on here that starts with a "C". Since this is a Ford site. As far as driving style, I am very easy on pedal, set cruise at 70 on highway which is the speed limit here and I am averaging 15.7. Not close to the 22.5 I used to get in the other brand of truck. But the Ford is much much nicer. Thanks everyone for the input.
