My cure for the Angry Blow Dryer sound.
![]() ![]() First off there was a sale at my local Mack dealer so the 5" muffler's were on sale for $40. I got tired of the blow dryer sound and had one of these mufflers sitting next to my DPF in the shop so I though what the hell they are around the same size. It just about eliminated the blow dryer sound but still lets everything else through. I have been running it for about 3 months and have not had a problem. Before anyone ask that has not seen the inside of a semi muffler I would have to say there is zero restriction. If 12 liters of Mack engine can breath through it my 6.4 should be good.

so many different 5" mufflers. to say they have no restriction is a bit of a misnomer. I'm sure you're not hurting performance, but the standard shelf mufflers with the soft plug/diffuser in the middle don't flow near as well as something you can see straight through
a simple packed muffler will eat up the turbine sound |
