Low mpg question.

I just got my 08 F-250 last week. I know I still have my emmisions and the regine affects my mpg. But almost everyday for the last week it's gotta clean the exhaust filter. Since I live and work only 10 miles from each other I don't get much highway driving in. Since I've had the truck I haven't done oil or filters (including fuel filters) yet. What do you guys think is the reason I only get 11mpg. I also stay off the throttle for the most part. Any input would be greatly apperceated.

You will probably have to take it out on the highway the next time your clean exhaust message comes up and let it finish a complete cycle. As for the mpg are you getting it of your display or are you figuring it out. In most cases the display is off compared to hand calculated.

Youre getting 11mpg because you have a stock 6.4 powerstroke. Get rid off the Dpf asap. Not being a smartass just telling the truth

I was getting 13 mixed stock. So you aren't far off since you are all city. Seriously you won't get better til you tune and delete. My tuner is saving me $800 a year in fuel alone.

Sent from a phone smarter than me.
