08 MPG increased!

After several complaints at the dealer about the 08 we finally have a positive to report. The service manager took the truck for a couple days. The whole dealership didn't like the way the front tires were wearing and they thought the alignment was off also causing poor MPG. So they took it to a local truck alignment shop. After a careful check, the tech there said it was ok and still set to Ford's standards, but he also said he didn't like Ford's standards. So, he changed the alignment to his own specs. Can't remember what he changed but I do know it was very minor. He told me that Ford would eventually do it to all of them at the factory.
After finding out the fronted had no problems the dealership ordered 2 new front tires! A $600 gift was great. Then they installed the latest program from Ford into the truck hoping to help MPG. Now I am proud to announce it has increased from 9-9.5 mpg to almost 12!!!! Not long ago if you would have told me I would brag about 12 I would have laughed. But, now we are all tickled pink to see a positive increase.

If your's is getting horrible mileage, take it back and see if they could do the same for you.

I have heard others complain that when they got the flash from Ford the fuel milage improved but the power dropped drastically and they started having other problems.
Have you noticed anything?
I am only getting around 8 MPG but I also have a 4" lift and 35's.

I personally haven't driven it much since. It's the farm's truck and the boss (father) drives the 08 most of the time. He is happy.
