think about getting a 6.4 what to look for

i have a 04 f-250 6.0 now with 98000 miles on it only problem i have had is a bad oil cooler love the truck but want to get something with a bit newer styling

i found a 08 f-250 xlt supercab short bed 105,000 miles. it auto and 4x4 for $ 18,995

what do i need to look for it about 3 hour away (150miles )one way at a small owner dealership

would this be a wise move to buy something with more miles? i think im going to see if they can give me the hours on it to see what the average speed was if it was a highway truck on a down the street to the store...

how common are egr, cool cooler, head gasket, injector problem on these? also can you fix any of these your self or is there to much stuff in the way to fix in your garage? i did oil cooler and egr in the 6.0 wasnt hard just a pain leaning on radator and grill

Pardon my ignorance but is an Oasis like a Carfax? Never heard of that report before.

Yeah, like mentioned before, check the engine hours & also check what the estimated MPH is (hopefull you will get one that gets decent MPG's). Have them rack it & check for leakes or anything out of the ordinary underneath & under the hood.

Good luck
