Cetane Booster

I know there are probably 100 threads about this, but I thought this would save me a lot of searching.

How often do you add a cetane booster? Every tank? Every other tank? Once in a blue moon? Which? I'm not having any performance issues, just mainly interested in the additional lubrication it provides over and above the ULSD you get at the pump.

Any and all opinions welcomed.

i use fords cetane booster (4oz per) in every tank. not too expensive. runs quieter and smoother. getting up to .75 miles more per gallon on fuel economy.

I run the Ford stuff in every tank. Ive never run it without the stuff so I'm not sure if there is a difference.

I run Opti-Lube at all times.
I add this product every time I put diesel in my tank. Use it at the rate of 1/4 to 1/2 ounce per gallon. I buy it online from the Opti-lube website.
I started out using Diesel Kleen but switched to Opti-Lube after doing some research and finding that it was one of the best Products for lubrication which is now practically no longer present in the Ultra Low Sulfer that we have to use now.
I buy it by the gallon but keep a quart size with me in my tool box for when I fill up.
I use a plastic baby bottle for measuring out what I need with each fill as the baby bottle is marked on the side in ounces and you can pour into your tank without a spill.

I run Diesel Kleen. I put 10 oz per tank (each oz treats 3 gallons). I normally don't fill up until i basically need a full tank and then every time I finish 80 oz I run a tank without because I'm sure the concentrations start to build on itself.

thanks for the link to the test. If anything, I will start putting 2 stroke oil in mine instead of the power service.

I use 7oz of Ford Cetane Booster every tank full.

That test is 5 years old....have things changed a lot in that amount time?
