Mexican PCM
I read on hear somewhere that the 6.4's sold down in Mexico are bulletproof, have awesome power, problem free and get 23 to 25 MPG. Because none of the EPA added bull crap fowls anything up. SOOOO, my question is...Why can't we just remove all the bull crap from our trucks, buy a PCM at the parts counter down at Mexico City Ford... install it in our truck and live happily ever after?

A ton of ppl? Granted, I don't peruse the 6.4 forums everyday but read a lot that are on the active page and I've never seen this before.

the PCM is the same, it's just programmed differently. Just run delete tuning and enjoy

Not many people are doing this. Why spend 1k on a PCM to run stock power levels when you can spend the same money and get more power and better economy?

nobody is doing this
Ford isn't going to sell/program you a non-compliant PCM for your truck. |

Thats why you order it from Ford Mexico. Its compliant down there

Oh, is that what you do? And it comes pre-programmed with your US/Canada VIN in it? Sure would be a shame if your truck ended up at the Ford house for whatever reason and they performed a recall flash on it!
![]() Definitely seems logical to just order a $1000 ECM from Mexico vs. buying a $500 programmer and running a stock power tune

No one ever said it was logical and if you read my above post you would know that.
However find me a 500 dollar programmer for a 6.4 that deletes the DPF |
