Look at your sticker inside the driver side door jam. Look for the build date.
Job 1 - Build date Jan-Jun 2007 (01/07-06/07) Job 2 - Build date July-Dec 2007 (07/07-12/07) Job 3 - Built in 2008 |

Lookin at a 08 f250 with 48,000 miles. The date on the sticker in the door jam says 5/07 so its a job 1 truck. What is the good an the bad on these job1 trucks ?

Every once in awhile someone says to stay away from job 1 trucks because they are more troublesome but I myself am not to sure where it came from. They had rad problems like all the other job #'s & I am not to sure what other problems made people say they were so troublesome. I have a job 1 & it has been an excellent truck.

I thought I read on here somewhere people were saying Job 1 trucks used different studs for the head gaskets that weren't as strong or something. You would have to do further research because I'm just spewing something that I think I heard. I have a job 2 08' and like the guy above me said, all radiators are crap, just replaced mine. So when you buy your truck have an extra few sheckles put aside to do a rad job in the future. Good luck with the truck.

Ford offered to due mine under warranty even though it was just out but said they put the same one back in and give 1 year warranty. They told me if I wanted a true fix buy a 2011, haha, sons of b#tches. My work truck is a 09' with 160k on it and its been through 4 rads. I know I won't support the ford rads for these 6.4, but that's just me and my experiences with them.
