one more dumb question

2008, with 108k.
when the truck goes into regin. how long does it last? does the light on the dash stay on the entire time? sorry, ive only owned the truck for 6k. wife drives it sometime, and she would not know if its in regin or a rerun at the movies.

today when i was driving the I got a flash of "cleaning filter" only for about 2 or 3 seconds. is that normal?

thanks
dale

It just kinda flashes to let you know it is, but no, it's not on the whole time.

I think it now just comes on for a second and then shuts on on the info centre. The regen itself lasts from what I remember about 10 - 20 minutes. When I was still stock the cleaning exhaust filter used to saty on until it was done but that has since changed.
