Bad Idea?
I am thinking about selling my H&S XRT (original) and going with a Mini Maxx.
I have 136k on the truck. I run it on the highest setting on the XRT (120hp) and it handles it fine. I have been having the rev slam issue on and off for about 30k miles though. Would running the bigger tunes for a mini maxx be a bad idea? I want my tranny to hold up for a while longer. |

No, The XRT has - Stock, 40, 80, and 120. The XRT PRO has the same as the mini.
The original XRT tuner is no longer being made by h&s. It is not the same as the PRO. Superduty6.4 - how do you like your Nitto Trail Grapplers? I am going to be needing new tires here soon and really like them, I just need something that will last. My Duratracs aren't exactly lasting too long. |

The trail grapplers aren't to bad. They are alot quieter on the highway than I had originally anticipated. I don't really go off roading with them bit some of the places at work are a little muddy and they are definately good in that. I tried to run them at the beginning of the winter but then decided to get some bfg's on my stock rims because the grapplers weren't so good on ice. |

I have the XRT PRO and it has an SD card in it as well as an air card to down load other tunes from the computer. If you don't have the sd card slot than you can't get the same tunes like the diff trans tunes for the truck. If so, If you have the money the mini max is nice, but if you don't like I did the XRT PRO is also nice and cheeper, just cant mount it anyware and do all your stuff on the fly much like the one you have.

The mini maxx is nice, if I were you I would keep an eye out for a deal on one used then sell yours once ya find a good deal.
Btw, I wouldn't do a m/t if your looking for longevity. I love my trail grapplers though. |

I have the mud grapplers and can hardly make a phone call they are so loud! I'll be switching to the trail grapplers once they wear out

I guess it was a good thing I didn't get the mud grapplers.

There are loads of people the run the high hp tunes and don't seem to have many issues. Just drive sensibly
