to buy or not to buy

I have a 93 150 with 217k I love it but time to upgrade to haul my freezer body. Saw a nice 08 6.4l with low miles. I have heard stories about the '08 being horrible. Radiators, injectors, pumps, ect.... I hear a lot about deletes and tuners witch I'm clueless about. But all in all is the 6.4l a dependable engine or should I buy a different year or go with. I've had ford replace front axle seals on my truck and that's te only issue so far. 23000 miles been tuned since 3000.

I would say they are good engines. They just aren't made for stop and go traffic especially with all the emissions equipment still installed. They are made to work hard.

Great trucks, just keep up with maintenance, do the deletes and have fun!

Agree with all the above! I have an 08' 131,000miles normal issues, tune it and you will be fine. Their is alot of stuff on the search for tuning just don't let this engine intimidate you its a good motor! In fact all the Ford motors are good!
