intake and exhaust question

so I put a K&N intake system on my stock 6.4 last week, when i get into boost the turbo's sound like 2 different toned deer whistles, is that normal? im used to hearing the sound of the turbo's spooling, and this sounds totally different.
Second. I got a spartan tuner and am going to be doing the DPF/CAT delete, can i still run my stock exhaust without any issues? I like the double tip stock look, and I have found aftermarket exhaust with a similar look, and I may go that route down the road, but for now if I dont need to id like to keep the stock look

It will work but 4 or 5 inch exhaust have more flow. I love my 5 inch straight
