Towing / Overheat worrries
2010 F350, XRT Pro on HD300, AFE CAI, 5" FLOPRO turbo back.. Haven't pulled travel trailer since the mods. Trailer is closed to 10k lbs. Looking to take a trip next week and wonder if I need to change settings from HD 300 to something else to prevent overheating or any other issues. thanks for feedback

i dont have experience with the H&S tuning.. but keep I would take it down a few notches to a tow tune and play it safe, i towed a 10K trailer a few weeks ago with my street tune from IDP and it did just fine.. but i wouldn't run the high HP tunes while towing.. although, alot of guys do it all the time. just depends on the terrain your towing on.. if you have lots of hills.. i would cut it back.. but if its just flat roads, keep the tune you're running now, just watch your EGT's, EOT's, and ECT's keep them in check.

I towed a 14k 5'ver down to FL. last month and had no problems. I ran the stock mild tune. Oil temps stayed around 210, coolant 197 and tranny temps never went above 181.
I have the mods in my sig. |
