Bought a stant coolant cap for my fathers 08 powerstroke. Stant caps bad?

Good move or not? Yeah I watch bald bills video and I heard the guys a goof, then I heard that stant coolant caps suck. Should I just return the cap and put the OEM cap back on? Anyone know why stant are bad?

I saw the same video posted on here awhile ago. I personally, haven't done the "upgrade." Curious what others have to say.

I have also seen the video and it does make a lot of since even though Bill can be a bit extreme and is great at exaggerating things. The video did make me check my coolant cap and I noticed it was slightly bubbled, so I went to FORD and bought a new FORD OEM cap.

The new style FORD OEM cap does have a bigger spring than the original OEM ones did. I feel much better spending a few extra bucks on a FORD OEM cap than some cheap chin ease crap at the Auto Parts store.

There's been at least two revisions to the OEM cap so if you haven't replaced it for a few years it would be cheap insurance to put a new one in.
