6.4 good motor??

Does the 6.4 have any production problems? also will it withstand upgrades on stock internals? i know the 6.0 had bad head problems and was wondering if they fixed all of this in the 6.4?

6.4 internals can withstand the most upgrades its an extremely powerful engine. You will here some horror stories but many other like me will tell you with proper maintenance its by far the best diesel truck they have owned. If your looking at modding a diesel truck the 6.4 is by far your best choice

Buy an 09-10 if u plan on keeping her stock. By then most kinks were out.

Doesn't matter what year, 08, 09 or 10. They are pretty much the same thing now after all the TSB's.

check out the bottom of the page in the 11 things you didnt know about your super duty section. it says the 6.4 went thrugh 10 million miles worth of testing.... that sounds tough to me!

I had a 02 7.3, my brother has a 6.0, now i have a 08 6.4 with damn near 200k on it and i run the spartan 310 tune as my DD and i love this motor and tranny. It can handle about anything you throw at it.
