Also, Get an OASIS report on the truck before you take another step further. This can be obtained from a local ford Dealer using the VIN #.

It is in good condition and had a fifth wheel. I do plan on getting a report on it. The main thing I was worried about was the miles I know how the dpf and lack of maintenance can reek havoc on these engines.

Take the primary filter cap off, stick your head or a camera up there and see if that sucker has ever been drained. If it looks like a growing bacterial plant, stay far far away.

That's just one of many, many things to check. 146K untuned miles would scare me to death. The DPF/EGR systems are ticking time bombs. With all the EPA junk on there, I would have to have recorded oil changes every 3500-4500miles max due to oil dilution from regen, and fuel filter change no greater than 10K miles in between services.

Tough to say without oasis/maintenance report bud.

If it all checks out i would jump on it. I paid that for mine with around that many miles

I had the local Ford dealer run an Oasis check and they told me that it had never had a warranty issue. I am suspicious of that but I do think I know who owned it previously and if the guy I am thinking of did this thing was taking care of when it needed it. Bentstroke 02 when you bought your was it stock and if so did you run into any problems with it? Thanks
