08 F350 Rear Hubs

On my 08 F350 with Ford 10.5 LSD Rear, both sides of my parking brake mechanism are not working properly since the mounting area of backing plate for the brake shoes has rusted through on the left side and is about there on the right. So in order to replace the backing plate, I have to remove the hubs. I know I have to replace the axle shaft o-ring and the hub seal, but I was wondering if there would be a need to repack the wheel bearings as well, or are they lubricated by the gear oil? Alldata shows a repack with grease but is this required? Should I repack since I'm already there? Or do they not need repacked since the gear oil is there? Truck has 57,000 miles. Thanks.
