Coolant filter installed

Just had a sinister coolant filter installed. How long till all the air is completly out of the system normally and how often will the filter need to be changed?

They said to change filter after first 500 miles then again after 1500 miles and then annually after that.

Ok, thanks. How can you tell how dirty the coolant in filter is?

After you change the filter, you can either take aviation type cutters/Scissors and Cut the filter open and look at it, and you can also turn it upside down and shake it and see if sand comes out as well. I cut mine open to analyze it, pretty easy to do. you can also tell ur filter is getting clogged because it wont be as hot, less coolant flowing thru it
