FX4 comes with Rancho Shocks, paint matched bumpers and grille, the grille itself is a different style also, skid plates under the transfer case and fuel tank and I believe when you get the "FX4 Package" it has some different interior pieces and wheels also but nothing crazy.

The 4x4 Off-Road package includes transfer case and fuel tank skid plates; 4x4 OFF-ROAD box decals (requires 4x4, limited-slip rear axle and all-terrain tires). It was an optional addon for all versions but the FX4 which came with it by default.

Not all FX4 models have paint matched bumpers and grill. My Lariat FX4 has the chrome package so the bumpers are chrome and the grill is different than the standard Lariat and is also chrome.

F instead of a 4 plus what everyone else said.... a lot of times it comes with a black leather interior...

I have the fx4 and it has the work bench that folds out underneath the back seats. Do all models have that? I was always curious.

The FX4 also has the manual 4x4 shift lever where you can shift the transfer case to neutral (so you can flat tow it). The rest of the 4x4's have the electronic (vaccuum) 4x4 switch.

Mine is a 10' FX4 XL. Has the fold out table in the back. Has electronic t-case.
