FX4 comes with Rancho Shocks, paint matched bumpers and grille, the grille itself is a different style also, skid plates under the transfer case and fuel tank and I believe when you get the "FX4 Package" it has some different interior pieces and wheels also but nothing crazy.

The 4x4 Off-Road package includes transfer case and fuel tank skid plates; 4x4 OFF-ROAD box decals (requires 4x4, limited-slip rear axle and all-terrain tires). It was an optional addon for all versions but the FX4 which came with it by default.

Not all FX4 models have paint matched bumpers and grill. My Lariat FX4 has the chrome package so the bumpers are chrome and the grill is different than the standard Lariat and is also chrome.

I have the fx4 and it has the work bench that folds out underneath the back seats. Do all models have that? I was always curious.

Correct, the chrome package overrides the color matched bumper and grilles. Unlike in 2008 & 2009 where the FX4 was it's own vehicle like the XL, XLT and Lariat, in 2010 they discontinued the 4x4 package and made the FX4 model an optional package like the King Ranch.

Depends on the model year. In 2008 & 2009 models, it was an standard option only available on the XLT, FX4 and Lariat, the XL was excluded. In 2010, they did away with the FX4 model so now it was a standard option on only the XLT and Lariat.

The FX4 also has the manual 4x4 shift lever where you can shift the transfer case to neutral (so you can flat tow it). The rest of the 4x4's have the electronic (vaccuum) 4x4 switch.
