squeak
i have a squeak that i can hear with the radio on when i hit bumps in the truck. it is coming from the frontend. i thouight it was related to bad shocks. replaced shocks and nope its still there. what could it be? springs? the bushing on the suspension arm? what to check and how? driving me nuts....

Just go over the suspension really well and see if you can see any wore out parts and replace them.

I would think sway bar bushings.

didnt think sway bar.....
recent work = new trac bar new steering stabilizer new drag links latest work= new shocks this will sound dumb but best way to check? jack up and start wiggling and pulling? |

Be sure to check ball joints as well the can cause a squeak and or knock sound

into the dealer last night- was told (shown) the factory trac bar has a bend to it and the adj one is straight hence the contact. he told me to cut or grind the effected area off the bracket to clearance it.......
