sct Livewire question PLEASE HELP

I currently have the edge race with dpf delete. I want to do egg delete but the edge does not support it. I found a sct live wire online and its still in the box the guy bought it came with a dpf delete kit but he went with a spartan. Im not going for huge tunes i run the 50hp tune on the edge i just want reliability. My question is there a re licence fee for the live wire? the guy said he never installed it on his truck and its still in the box he believes its the 9625 is there a way to tell? can i monitor egr temps with the sct and biggest question he said its unlocked what does that mean? so what tunes come with the sct....sorry for the long post just want to know if I should buy this asap

Sct's come with 5 unlocks. Which means it can go to 5 different trucks before it needs to be relicensed. Unlocked means it's ready to tune a truck. The box says what part number it is, tell him to look so you know for sure. It will be able to monitor most of the parameters you can with your evolution. Just beware the bulkiness of the sct. It's kinda a pain to find a place for it.

he has a part number on the sct its lw07220804b15 where can i look that up?

Another question will I be able to monitor egt if it doesn't come with the probe? My edge came with the bungs in the exhast does that mean anything for the sct? Sorry for all the questions I just don't know much about the sct or egt probe thanks again in advance.

i think the Livewire requires you to have the probes installed in the exhaust.. The livewire will monitor EGT's w/o the probe.. all that info comes from the OBDII port..

the livewire needs to be the 9625OR version.. that will have the tunes on it for a truck that is deleting the DPF.

he said it is unlocked but need re licence fee so that confuses me....he said he got it used with when he ordered his dpf delete pipe so he assumes its the 9625. I was hoping to just buy it and plug it in I don't want to go thru the re licence fee and I'm not sure how much that is i guess I will have to just plug it in to my truck and see if it works and go from there.....if i can do that

It's 150.00 for re lisence fee. It will not work if he didn't return his truck to stock or if there is no unlocks left.
