Pulley noise
Was wondering the best way to test a pulley to make sure it's the right one to replace. Iam getting a squeak noise nothing crazy but enough to piss me off lol I believe it's the idler pulley the bearing inside went bad. Only does it when it's cold as it warms up it disappears try putting grease on it didnt do much. Try spraying WD40 on it to see if it does anything to help me determine the right pulley seems to help because the noise got louder then quiet down a little but I was just seeing if there was a way to test it. Thanks guys

Ya its your idler pulley its the first one just go pick one up at local parts dealership and install it. DO IT YOURSELF unless you have warranty still

Have u had this problem yourself? When you say first idler pulley you refer to the one next to the alternator above the tensioner pulley correct? Iam gonna get one from ford it's only $40 probably going to replace it the same time I do my EGR delete.
