Need for head studs?
So I finally got my mini max and deletes coming and will be here on tuesday. Wondering how many of you guys are or recommend running head studs. And also should i do a full egr delete? Truck has just about 80k on it. Thanks!

depends on how much power you're planning on adding and if your warranty is expired.

I'm definitely in the mix for an egr delete soon. Just havent found time to shop around and I still cant decide if I want to give it a go myself or not. I have done all of the mods on my truck myself but the EGR is definitely something I want to think about having done.
I run the 250 tune but my accelerator position never goes beyond 40%. (I know, I have no fun) Therefore, I'm not looking for studs anytime soon. |

the ONLY time my accelerator position stays UNDER 40% is at idle..

I plan on just running the stock tunes. So 250 tops plus ya my warranty is gone but i have a aftermarket one. I only pull every once in awhile. Bobcat s220 is the biggest otherwise mainly snowmobiles and atvs. I will pry be over 40% also ha

Highly recommend the egr delete just for assurance , and if you will only be running a 250 tune you would be fine with no studs, but thats that assurance thing again ,im looking into eventually doing atleast headstuds to get started ! but im also looking to into adding more mods for somemore xtra power!! Good Luck

Unless you start getting into big power, then head studs aren't needed. Like already stated, it's more or less just to remove that little thought/doubt in the back of your head when you romp on it (but it doesn't sound like you even do that lol). If you start upgradiging your turbos and getting into the 600+ HP range, then that's when you need studs. If I have to pull my cab for a repair, then I will install ARP's but other wise I'm not going to worry about it. I DD mine on the HD300 series tune on HOT. I'm conservative on the skinny pedal for the most part, but I enjoy making boost and completely burying the throttle every now and then.
