I had cam and rear main seals done not too long ago. It was a cab on job. Unfortunately it took two trips to the dealership. First they said it was coming from the oil drain plug. Yet they couldn't explain how the oil was coming from in front and above the pan. So went home trying to decide what to do and lo and behold it rained. Thank God. Most of the oil was washed off and origin was DEFINITIVE.

Also I hear some have bed plate issues.

Can be the beadplate or the rear main. Mine was the bedplate.

Mine also recently started leaking from this same area (between tranny and oil pan). The leak is minimal for now.... it only drips a drop every couple of days. My driveway has a few very tiny spots on it, but nothing bad yet. Im not covered by warranty, so im just gonna deal with it untill it gets bad, or untill I do other major repairs. What does a rear main seal job cost?

Im getting mine back tomorrow or thursday from getting the back plate gasket fix, lucky it was still under warranty and the dealership I use over looks the Mods. But, I heard it can cost 3,500-4k since they have to pull the engine and possibly the cab (Depending on the techs doing it ). I'm not 100% on that price thats just what I have heard.
